It’s all going on at The Children and Families Bill, and the latest offering is the House of Lords Hansard text on the Grand Committee meeting yesterday.

Lord Storey and Lord Nash were in action, as were Baroness Massey and Lord Listowel, reminding the government that vulnerable children experience huge instability with the constant removal and replacement of new social workers to their case and that professionals too, suffer from ever-changing policies, which in turn prevent them from creating meaningful relationships with the families they work with. It’s an insightful point, we think, which aggravates the problem of impersonal service and general anger towards the system.
